Digi IX25 Model Overview

The Digi IX25 industrial router is available in five primary configurations. All models share a core feature set, including Quad Gigabit Ethernet, RJ50 Serial (RS-232/485), GNSS, and eSIM support. The primary differences between models are the cellular technology (5G vs. LTE) and whether Wi-Fi 6E is included.

High-Performance 5G eMBB

  • Part Number: IX25-5A-1G

  • Cellular: 5G eMBB with LTE Cat 19 fallback.

  • Wi-Fi: Includes Wi-Fi 6E.

  • Primary Use Case: High-bandwidth applications such as branch failover, digital signage, and video analytics.

Optimized 5G RedCap

  • Part Number: IX25-RA-1G

    • Cellular: 5G RedCap with LTE Cat 4 fallback.

    • Wi-Fi: Includes Wi-Fi 6E.

  • Part Number: IX25-RA-0G

    • Cellular: 5G RedCap with LTE Cat 4 fallback.

    • Wi-Fi: No Wi-Fi (Cellular only).

  • Primary Use Case: Balancing 5G longevity with lower power consumption and cost; ideal for SCADA and industrial automation.

Standard Industrial LTE Cat 4

  • Part Number: IX25-4A-1G

    • Cellular: LTE Cat 4.

    • Wi-Fi: Includes Wi-Fi 6E.

  • Part Number: IX25-4A-0G

    • Cellular: LTE Cat 4.

    • Wi-Fi: No Wi-Fi (Cellular only).

  • Primary Use Case: Reliable, cost-effective connectivity for ATMs, kiosks, and utility monitoring where 5G speeds are not required.
