Industries Served by the Thunderbolt NTP TS200
Industry | Challenge | TS200 Solution |
---|---|---|
Enterprise / IT | Inconsistent server and application logs hinder troubleshooting, security forensics, and SLA reporting. | Stratum-1 NTP with multi-GNSS input delivers UTC-traceable time to thousands of clients for aligned logs and faster incident resolution. |
Data Centers | Distributed systems require a common time base for databases, storage, microservices, and audit trails. | High-throughput NTPv4 serves large client fleets; PPS/10 MHz outputs support lab/test gear and monitoring taps. |
Financial Services | Trade, market data, and compliance systems need microsecond-level, UTC-traceable timestamps for regulations (e.g., MiFID II/SEC). | GNSS-disciplined, stratum-1 NTP provides a reliable reference for trading platforms, risk engines, and audit logs. |
Utilities / SCADA | Event correlation across substations and control rooms fails when RTUs and HMIs drift. | Rugged design (wide temperature range) and multi-GNSS timing keep SCADA hosts, historians, and gateways synchronized over IP. |
Oil & Gas / Industrial | Remote sites and pipelines need reliable time for sensor data alignment and alarm analysis in harsh conditions. | Extended operating range with holdover supports continuous NTP service; optional PPS/10 MHz aids test and monitoring gear. |
Voice / Unified Comms | VoIP/CDR records and QoS analytics break down when call servers, SBCs, and recorders aren’t time-aligned. | Centralized stratum-1 NTP improves CDR accuracy, QoS reporting, and dispute resolution across UC/VoIP infrastructure. |
