Reddit is a free resource that not only has crowdsourcing capabilities but it also has a built-in audience that you can leverage. The crowdsourcing possibilities are endless if you can engage the audience the right way.
Reddit is the world’s largest crowdsourcing platform. People on Reddit share information and ideas on the platform and do it in a way that is valuable to both themselves and the communities they are in. Some of these Redditors are businesses. They use Reddit to make real business decisions or clients trying to find an answer without having to call or email a company for support.
How do I use Reddit and other crowdsourcing information platforms?
Find the Right Reddit Community
You need to find a community that cares about what you are doing. For example, if you are looking for information on routers and gateways, you should consider engaging /r/networking. This community has information on Enterprise Networking Design, Support, and Discussion. If you need help finding a relevant community, search the terms you’re interested in with the main search bar.
Once you’re in the proper community (a subreddit), Reddit has a subreddit search feature at reddit.com/subreddits. To use the subreddit search, look for the box that says, “what are you interested in?” and enter keywords related to your niche.
Posting on Reddit
Make a simple request or ask a simple question that can be responded to in text format. You may not get responses if your question is too specific or long. You can always just look to Novotech support for help if your issue is complicated.
Respond to feedback
After you post, check the thread for updates. Many commenters have a vested interest in the community and want to give as much information as possible.
