The HELI-5 stands as a high-gain, unidirectional antenna designed for LTE applications, complementing our MinePoynt antennas tailored for mining and tunnel use. Combining MinePoynt beam antennas for long-distance tunnel links with this directional antenna leverages Poynting's extensive fifteen years of experience in antenna design and manufacturing for underground mining communication and data networks. This antenna is also well-suited for hazardous oil and gas chemical environments requiring IS equipment. In tests, this antenna demonstrated superior data rates and range compared to linear-polarized panel antennas with equivalent gain. Its rugged construction makes it an excellent choice for mining environments. The HELI-5 operates within the 1710 MHz to 2170 MHz range, while the HELI-6 covers the 698 MHz to 960 MHz range.
