Modules are devices that allow for machine-to-machine communication across a variety of networks. Some modules only receive data. Others can send and receive data. Cellular modules are the most common wide area transceiver. They enable communication over cellular networks, including 4G LTE or 5G. Other modules include WiFi, Bluetooth, and mesh network modules. These usually communicate over shorter distances and lower power.
