The Monarch 2 GM02S stands as an LTE Cat M1/NB1/NB2 module built upon Sequans’ advanced second-generation Monarch 2 chip platform. This module offers substantial benefits in terms of performance and power efficiency, while being grounded in the most well-established and field-tested LTE-M/NB-IoT protocol stack available. As the inaugural member of Sequans' next-generation "S" series module family, the Monarch 2 GM02S boasts a compact and cost-effective form factor that eliminates the need for external components. Notably, it incorporates Sequans' Single-SKU™ RF front end, facilitating deployment across various frequency bands worldwide. Additionally, it features an integrated Common Criteria EAL5+ secure enclave for secure key storage and cryptographic applications, along with an integrated SIM (iSIM). The open SDK environment empowers customers to develop their applications within the module, all while maintaining a keen focus on power efficiency. Importantly, the Monarch 2 GM02S operates on a single rail power supply, starting at just 2.2 V, marking the industry's lowest supported voltage for any LTE-M/NB-IoT module. This innovation translates into savings in battery life and the bill of materials (eBOM). Sequans retains control over the chipsets and software used in all its modules, ensuring rapid time-to-market and the most economical total cost of ownership for device manufacturers.
